Following a tip-off from John Hudson I phoned CPB and my contact there advised that the extension WILL open on Sunday.

There will be an official ceremony at Helensvale at 10am.

Not much warning for any interstaters who may wish to attend, but hopefully those closer to the line can come.

(So I won’t be in the wrong tram city for the opening day. They kindly moved it forward. On Saturday 2 December a CPB senior stated most certainly that it would not be that weekend. They certainly got a wriggle on but ‘the paint will still be drying’ on some things on Sunday.)
