Hi John,
It seems that putting trams into Olsen Ave is the easy thing to do when the line to Helensvale is closed for any reason. It would probably be a lot simpler than disrupting the roster for just a few days. It might be worth taking a few photos tomorrow.
I meant to mention earlier that at Napper Rd/Smith St this morning there was a medium size excavator vehicle with rail wheels on the southbound track. Driving past, it was not possible to find out what they were doing.
