I visited in St Kilda 2 weeks ago, thanks to the tipoff here from Steven Altham.
It was great!
The blue seats looked sharp and were comfy. All equipment from the cabs was removed, but it was still sitting on trucks, which were on short rails. There was a small bar at one end (visible thru the window in my first pic). 
As for the drink? Well it was different, had some aromatic bitters, alright on a hot day (which it was!). Probably prefer a beer tho...
I wonder if Chandon will keep it after its travels? Set it up at their Yarra Valley winery maybe.

Last photo shows the Bendigo Tramways nameplate, and perhaps a less-than-ideal spot to store your wine...
