Que? Don't you mean the other way around? The Melbourne trams cost about 50% more. The Alstom deal sounds relatively cheap considering there's a premium in there for Canadian assembly and maintenance. By comparison, Bombardier has taken the Victorian government to the cleaners with the most expensive trams in the world.
