A few interesting points.

If those marks on the road are from this derailment, why are they behind the tram?

Also looking at those point blades, I certainly would not have tried to drive a tram through them in that condition. Clearly they are split due to silting.

At the Operations Centre 18 months ago I was told that this left turn was booked out of use as no regular service made that turn any more. Was the driver marking that turn with authorisation?

Had R9 been sent out to make sure the junction was fit for use?
