Re: Infrastructure Australia warned on rail privatisation / News / News / Railpage

Why do you think this guy concealed his identity ?

He wrote under a pseudonym because if he didn’t he would have LOST HIS JOB. Read the article - it says, right at the end where it’s signed, he wrote under a fake name - that’s really deep analysis there on the bus forum.

When I was campaigning on various transport related issues while employed by the state government railways I ALWAYS wrote under a pseudonym otherwise I would have LOST MY JOB. That’s the reality of “democratic participation” when you’re a wage earner on the NSW railways, or anywhere else in the government if you’re an activist in an area related to your employment.

If you weren’t aware of that it reveals how profoundly out of touch you are with with the risks activists like me have had to take every time we campaigned while still employed.

Or maybe we should just shut up and do as we’re told - that’d be much more convenient, and maybe we’d now have yet another tollroad where the IWLR trams are now running.

Now that I’m unemployable I can put my name to whatever I like.

As for your comments on the Grauniad, well being fish and chip wrap puts it way, way above the tollroad loving, tram and light rail hating merdeoch arse-wipes, doesn’t it ?

But if that’s where you get your information I’m not surprised at your response to the genuine concerns of a hard working bus driver about the future of his job - garbage in, garbage out.

Trump doesn’t blog, he tweets - his attention span isn’t long enough for him to have the ability to blog, and that you thought that Trump’s view on what is or isn’t “fake news” (or anything else) has any credibility tells me all I need to know.

This is the second Guardian article you've posted where I recall there has been some profound issue with the credentials of the author. The Guardian is fish and chips wrapping, one of those "fake news" outlets that The Donald is always blogging about ;)

Nothing wrong with the operational contract model per se, the critical issue is how well the state governments/agencies implement and administer it.
