Newcastle light rail is like the Cheshire Cat in Alice In Wonderland - more and more of it fades away, till only the smug, gloating grins of the developers and government, who never wanted LR in the first place, only the railway destroyed, are left. It was only ever a con job to try to appease opponents of the railway closure.

I still reckon the “Newcastle” CAFs are more likely to end up on the IWLR than on Hunter St.

This is the biggest commitment to CAF battery power so far :
