Indeed - we can expect the intellectual depth and rigour of this effort from the Toronto Sun :

The problem with online tabloids is you have to print them out to wipe your arse on them.

And UNSW has already said they will alone take up 70% of the system
capacity (in semester).

The trams will have no slack in the system to cater for growth - growth
that will come due to the rezonings on the area. (You have the tram now,
your blocks of units can now be twice the size we allowed before).

So the system is launching at 100% capacity and the government is still
allowing significant increases in 'housing capacity' in the tram service
areas on the basis that they have better transport. Transport that will
be running at 100% from day one.

Something will have to give and it's a good chance it won't be the RMS
and their insistence that trams only cross intersections at more than 4
minute intervals.
The RMS roads department has already compromised system design in
other areas to keep the cars flowing, no reason to expect they will roll
over and accept more trams with out a fight to the death.

I'm waiting for the 'war on cars' to be declared.
(The tabloids probably already have declared it a 'war on cars', I just
haven't noticed :-)
