The concept of “alternative facts” isn’t only popular in Washington these days.

I saw Brian Blunt’s comments buried in all the dross, and the responses to them. It reminded of this quote attributed to George Savile, First Marquess of Halifax :

"A man that should call every thing by its right Name, would hardly pass the Streets without being knock'd down as a common Enemy."
