I notice that they are using the 'P-Track' method along the section
posted (Alison Road?), casting a slot, rails go in later, instead of the
'Q-Track' where they cast the rails in directly.

The offical FB page is too depressing. Professional 'social media'
managers countering every negative comment with some meaningless spin.

I notice that the 50m or so of track they built outside the Town Hall
(on top of Town Hall railway station), now has a forest of demountable
buildings on top of it. Looks like it's going to be the site office for
the rest of the works. The site office includes a diesel gen set to
provide power for the offices. No more track has been built since that
initial segment.

It really ticks me off how it's now apparently cheaper and more
'efficient' to hire in a diesel generator set than organise a temporary
supply off the electrical distribution network in the street.
