Re: Brill Hornless Trucks was Trucks under 8 and 466 [Was: 133s and an Essanee]

G’day Chas & All,

Attached are some photos of Brill hornless trucks from under SAR Brill rail motors.
They were taken at the Central Highlands Tourist railway at Daylesford Victoria

My EMB book said that they could be Brill 81 or 82, M or T depending on whether they were motor or trailer trucks.
Not sure how complete they are and what did the square? hole in the middle do.They seem ok

I was incorrect in quoting a box section, but you must admit that they are a bit more beefier, than tramway ones, in case they happen to hop off the rails.

Regards
Kevin

Good Grief, Greg!

Are you telling us that there is something old that can give a super-modern track-chewing low floor contraption a run for its money?

You'll be taking sides with Mick Duncan soon!!

Actually, the X1's were some of the best riding single truckers we had in this country, don't let simplicity fool you! Compared to a Brill 79E (Birney) or 21E, these were PCC quality!!!
