Yes I did Mal.
I arrived at about 12:30 and waited, cold. At about 1:30 after a large
procession of cars had entered Preston Workshops, a few people in hiviz
vests congregated at the corner, I went over to introduce myself and say
that I was there to take photos, but would stay out of their way, and
follow instructions (always best to be upfront and polite in my mind).
After a short chat with them - they were from Bombardier, and very proud of
their vehicle - they announced it was about to arrive. By about 3:15 it was
almost rolled off the truck, but I had become rather cold and bored, so
left - it had be positioning for almost an hour, and I had no idea how much
longer. I later heard that it got unloaded within 15 minutes of me leaving,
I should have stayed, but that's the way the cookie crumbles. The shots I
got are listed below.

The E arriving, in a rather large convoy, all the lights behind the truck
are its entourage. It arrived with: a tractor on a truck, a back up prime
mover, about four pilot vehicles, two VicRoads vehicles, and a number of
other trucks and cars (probably about five more).

Parked up in the slip lane south from Miller Street into St Georges Road,
ready to reverse into the roll on/off dock.

Being positioned, see the immense number of vested people there to
facilitate its smooth arrival at Preston Workshops.
Liam - probably not going to attend the next 49 deliveries.
