Re: Chapel Street trams

Just a brief comment re "Prahran". A business firm in Brisbane and a related one in Sydney pronounced it as "Prawn". (Took a while to work out what they were talking about -- for a delivery).

Subject: [TramsDownUnder] Chapel Street trams

Whilst at the Prahran terminus waiting for a tram - surprise surprise - I noticed at the bottom of the timetable notice some interesting wording. It may well be on all of these notices as I haven;t looked but I thought was certainly appropriate on Chapel/Church Streets knowing how late running is the norm.

And just to show a general scene on a busy street, here is 929 which doesn't seem to know where it is going as it is northbound at High Street. This car had just come from Glen Huntly Depot and followed us up from Prahran. I always thought that trams running out from the depot to route 78 showed North Richmond all the way.
