Having spent a lot of time in Melbourne in my early life I remember well the Blue Harrises coming into service - a brilliant splash of modernity in an otherwise very Victorian (in the other sense of the word) transport scene!

As a Sydneysider, though, I remember being puzzled by the lack of inter-carriage connection. Wonder why VR didn't go for that?
