I can't answer the question raised as to why it was disposed off. Bendigo got two Z class from Mtram 11 and 74. Only 74 has seen use in Bendigo. Number 11 was delivered on rails but when the redevlopment started it was moved off site and never returned.

I believe it was sold to one of the trusts employees who has begun the hard task of gutting it out and concerting it into a bungalow of sorts. It is still in the Bendigo area.

It is preserved complete.
