Re: Port Melbourne

Hi everyone, due to popular demand, my Port Melbourne railway happy snaps will be posted as I continue the scanning. Here is the first batch. They are: 01_K 184 on Station Pier, Port Melbourne, on an ARE tour, 2 March, 1968. 02_E 1103 and E 1104 about to couple up to an ARE special train at Port Melbourne, 2 March, 1968. 03_Two-car Tait set and E 1104 and E 1103 at Port Melbourne, 2 March, 1968. 04_Montague railway station (down view). I don't think the wooden planked platforms would have been appreciated by those who were wobbly on their feet or in a wheel chair! March, 1981. 05_Doggie motor unit 137 M (now owned by Electrail) crosses Bridge Street, North Port, on a down Port Melbourne. Last day of doggies, 26 January, 1974. 06_Up doggie and Tait combined set nearing North Port, 14 December, 1972. Jeff, that was interesting about L class electric locos running to Kew. I wonder what happened to John Alfred's photos of them? Cheers, Andrew (who will continue scanning).
