Rod,
Taking advantage of cheap Virgin Fares I made a quick visit to Brisbane & photographed EMUs running between Ipswich & Rosewood.I also managed to get the up Westlander, coal & general freight trains.,my main interest>
Unfortunately,I did not see any tramway remains, though I managed to photograph a now scene of Woollongabba Junction.

Milton (Brisbane, Qld): Emu passing the XXXX brewery. Sat.28.7.11. (Jeff
Bounds)

In the steam era, the distinctive yellow can showed a suburban train passing
the brewery. The train was a DD17 tank loco hauling wooden carriages. The
brewery was belching smoke: a sign of busy prosperity.
In the diesel era, the can was modernised. The train was a diesel loco
hauling stainless-steel carriages. The smoke was toned down to match modern
sensibilities.
In the electric era, the was further modernisation. The train was an emu.
All smoke was removed, to show that the brewery is a good corporate citizen..
AFAIK the latest incarnation has eliminated the artwork fully. I have
diesel and electric versions in my collection.
