I heard the remark in the MMTB once " There are more people who think they are transport experts outside this building ( 616) than within it. Consultants, more highly paid still keep this tradition flying.

It's good to know we have highly qualified "consultants" advising our Government on transport matters.

A report in the SMH recently had details of a proposal to build a $280M pedestrian tunnel some 300 metres long between Martin Place and St James stations, to make it easier for passengers in the eastern suburbs to connect wi th trains to the airport (and thereby reducing motor traffic).

How this is more convenient than walking from platform 25 to vertically adjacent platform 23 at Central was not explained.
