Been sorting out a few things at home recently and came across the depot allowances from 1967 until late 1970's or early 1980's.
 
I remember some of the later changes for South Melbourne were 4 on the Up South Melb Beach, 6 on the Down St Kilda Road and Clarendon St to 9 each way..
 
No doubt I will come across the later changes soon.
