This is an interesting diversion.

Smith St Collingwood has been closed due to an explosion in a restaurant.

Hi David,

I went for a walk soon after receiving your message, but the blockage was quickly cleared.

What I did get was an A running out (a bit late) for the lunch period Museum - Spencer St shuttle.

I see the destination says it's going to SPER! Look out Mick !:-)

252 is passing the ghost of three old buildings now fronting the local Woolworths Supermarket.

For what it''s worth, the buildings were (South to North):
Ackman's Pawnbroker (later furniture)
Fitzroy Coffee Palace and ... for those of other convictions ...
The Shepherd's Arms Hotel

Ackman's eventually took over the other two buildings, but then Safeway took the lot in the 1980s in what is a classic example of the 'empty facade' school of heritage and conservation.
