The new trains are to be BG, but suitable for conversion to SG. There was mention, I think, somewhere that it is intended to
resleeper the entire metropolitan network with concrete sleepers. The Outer Harbor line has already been done - not certain if
these are dual gauge - some must be as there are both broad and standard gauge trains operating on some sections of the line.

The proposed 2016 timetable gives details of the expected loads on the peak hour trains - IIRC 450 is about it, but there may have
been a 550 in the list. This would quite happily require 4 DD carriages. With two units, = 4 cars, each carrying 130 passengers,
this gives 520 'crush' load.
