Yes, of course, but the concept of a traditional pub near a main railway station is something that would appeal to most tram enthusiasts. It would be nice to see a restored/recreated public bar of the 1950s style complete with tiles and lavatories where hard-working men could gather to discuss tramway matters over a few cleansing ales. Carlyons, of course, was close to the MMTB headquarters and even closer to the historic Bourke Street tramway building that is still standing.
