RE: The illuminated Budapest Christmas Tram

Makes the use of the headlight a tad superfluous, don't it?

Certainly different, thought provoking and eye catching.

Subject: [TramsDownUnder] The illuminated Budapest Christmas Tram

Budapest has always had a number of important places in the inner city
illuminated. This year Liberty Bridge (Szabadság híd) and Elisabeth Bridge
(Erzsébet híd) have joined the list, but that was not the end of new
illuminations yet. BKV - the municipally-owned transit operator - launched a
regular Christmas Tram service with a heritage tram for the first time ever,
and they added a suprise: as seen on the two pictures attached to this
message, the UV double-set running these special courses on route 2/2A was
decorated with probably a few thousand LEDs. I haven't seen anything like
this yet - the lights are so bright that the tram illuminates the objects
around. The illuminated heritage service will run every evening until
January 6, with the exception of December 24. I wonder if the lights will
last that long :)

Best wishes,
