RE: Trams passing cemetries [Re: Tramway-Railway crossings should be Lydiard St North Gates]
  Ted Gay

There was a cemetery on Norton St Leichhardt, two tram routes, and tram lines on a second side in William St connecting to Leichhardt depot.  Later this cemetery was converted to a park "Pioneers Memorial Park" and the war memorial was relocated here from its postion at the Norton/Marion Sts intersection, three tram routes.

How about some postings of trams passing Cemeterys (we have already had hotels)

Sydney ’s former Matraville – Yarra Junction tramway passed the Botany Cemetery
(This is where the late David Keenan author of Sydney Tramways books is interred)
In the early 1900s, there was a branch tramway into Botany cemetery built for the purpose
of transferring the deceased residents and headstones from the old Devonshire Street cemetery.
This cemetery was earlier on the site of the present Sydney Railway Station..

Sydney ’s Lane Cove tramway passed by the Gore Hill Cemetery .

In Launceston , Tasmania , the Carr Villa tram line terminated at the cemetery gates.
