I think it's a sign of things to come Alex. One only has to look through
these lists for each state to see the extent of the loss of generating
capacity in SA. Ironically, one major recent development that this
situation is leading to is battery power, with battery bus trials now
starting to proliferate around Australia and one entire new battery-powered
tram system being built. Ironically the "greening" of electricity
generation is resulting in the environmental disbenefit of battery
production and disposal.

The worst thing is that in a country with huge resources of coal and gas,
flawed public policy has led to crippling and unsustainable costs falling
on businesses and ordinary people. This is a disaster and the country needs
to get out of this madness fast.
