I do wonder though if this will come back to bite LUAS when the extended
length Citadis fail.
Alstom had been very very reluctant to go past 7 segments, and given the
way I've seen the articulation snap in multiple Citadis prangs in
France, there may be something in Alstom's reluctance to make a 9
section Citadis.
I'm sure the 2 x 5 option's coupler in the middle provides a stress
relief point in the event of a prang.
