I think a Nikon stackable scanner for slides is the way to go especially if
you have several thousand ----- as I and a friend have plus inherited
slides from elsewhere so all up around 10,000. wouldn't even dream of a
flatbed for that quantity. However my Fuji Xerox DocuCentre C2271 works
just fine for printing and scanning, greyscale or colour, and up to A3 as
well.

​I think I had a V700, its long gone now because the tube failed and I
couldn't get a replacement, only a replacement scanner which I didn't want.​
