I hadn't been aware that the MMTB were in the habit of burning trams. I had
associated it with backward places like London and Sydney. I remember that
when the all night services finished, the Gs finished up piled in a
scrapyard (Tallon's?) somewhere to the north of Melbourne. Where did they
do the burning? I don't recognise the site in the TDU archive photo. Was it
some inaccessible bit around Preston Workshops?
