Craig Tooke tells me that:

The original VR Brill 77E trucks were built at Vickers Ruwalt ( do
think this the correct spelling) in Richmond. The best way to tell
was the different axle box covers. VR 41 has this type of axle box
covers fitted. The reason was the VR Newport foundry was very busy
and did not have the capacity to build them so the work was
contracted out.

The electrical equipment and motors were supplied by Noyes Brothers
Sydney. Lloyd Rogers told me this information about 10 years ago.

Thanks Craig.

The actual name of the company was Charles Ruwolt Pty Ltd.

Vickers bought the company in 1948 after Charles Ruwolt's death.
