Yes, leaving Sydney gen 3 to catch up wth gen 2. I guess the good news is
that gen 3 is a little in advance of gen 1, though perhaps not in journey
time!

Scissors crossover (feeding two tracks) would be highly necessary at
Dulwich Hill to avoid trams standing off because they're blocked by a tram
in the platform. They are essential on CSELR. The former North Sydney
system was scissors crossover kingdom.
