And don’t forget that the Gold Coast line also has a scissors crossover at the Helensvale station terminus.
That is because with an average headway of 7.5 minutes each tram is scheduled to have TEN MINUTES RECOVERY TIME there to ensure a punctual departure and in fact often there are two trams side by side at the platform for a minute or more.
Sydney is yet to be that generous with recovery time so a scissors would be pointless at Dulwich Hill.
