I have a gmail account so they know my name but not much else. I had no trouble getting googlegroups to work.

While I dislike Yahoo, all the complexities of the Google group are just not worth the stuffing around and I'm sick of these groups knowing my details (which as we all know get passed on and turned into spam that comes back to haunt us) so, unless there is a more direct site (like this Yahoo one) I'll just stay here till it winds up and quietly go my own way.
