Interesting to see an unwired cross-over as a normal part of the Perth
system.
Although not seen in Melbourne, a cross-over was installed in Market Street
(1990s ?), and it was some time before the appropriate wiring was placed in
the overhead. Nevertheless, a certain well-known gunzle-tramdriver decided
to be the first to take a tram over that cross-over, taking advantage of
gravity for the shunt !
