I'm in Fremantle at the moment and thought I would bring attention to a unique relic of the former tram system here. I'm sure not many would realise there was a thriving tram system in this small but very old port town, much of which is still beautifully preserved including part of the former tram depot, now adapted as a block of flats.

Here is PETS' history of the Fremantle trams including photos of the depot, one taken from the heights of the Roundhouse which, despite its name, is actually an old 1830 jail.
