Thanks Bob. Ah the simple, practical wisdoms of the traditional systems. Nowadays, the new systems would rather quadruple the track and build a ten-track terminus than acknowledge the humble wisdom of the turning loop.

Also they build bigger trams and smaller ferries nowadays ;)
