Richard,
What a great effort on your part to remake the old films. Great quality given the age of the originals.
Thanks for sharing, ‘tis much appreciated.

Subject: [TramsDownUnder] New Video: Melbourne Trams 1965 to 1983 Silent Movie Digital Remake. 46 Minutes
Besides digitally rescanning my original 8mm movie, extra scenes taken by longtime friend BarryN. and an unknown cameraman who appears to have had connections with Camberwell Depot have been added.
Picture quality varies a lot, depending on camera quality and often the brightness of the day. The technology in fact dates back to the 1930s.
One scene which will interest some viewers is the former routes 69 and 79 stub terminus at Luna Park which was closely related to the former balloon loop there.
As for the unknown cameraman, I have no idea how I came to have his film. Enquiries of a few people who were at Camberwell around 1970 failed to come up with any answers. If anyone has any clues, I would be happy to speak with them.
