I used to be able to "cut and paste" headlines from pay-walled
Telegraph articles directly into the search engine. But recently they
have started to somehow put the articles in as "images" and I can't do
it anymore. But I still get through with manual transcription.

Brian has provided the answer to paywalls in his most recent post, as
he has previously. You type part of the title of the article into your
search engine and it should bypass the paywall and give you the
article. Best to then read it straight away because on subsequent
attempts it may detect that you are bypassing the paywall.
