"Power fault" at Victoria Parade / Nicholson St tonight.
It looks like A1.247 somehow had its pantograph ripped off in the middle of the intersection. Power was isolated and a number of trams were stranded (including a City Circle which had only just finished turning left into Victoria Street).
Note the worker in the middle of the intersection (behind the car) with a long yellow pole checking the overhead alignment.

Second photo is quite strange. I couldn't work out what they were doing initially, but it looks like they've dragged the pantograph out of the intersection, and are now cutting it up with an oxy torch. Why would they need to do that? Just because it's too big to put anywhere? No space in the truck?
