When Geelong closed in 1956 the spare parts were shared between the two other systems, including all the trolley poles including those removed during scrappings. In the final years of Ballarat, more and more bogie cars had longer poles, (some only at one end!!!!) quite possibly the remnants from Geelong?

Compare the poles between single trucker No 11 and on No 42 at Mt Pleasant 21/8/1971 - yeas thats 46 years ago tomorrow!!!!!!!! Photo G Jordan
