Westfield is not too bad on the public transport front, others not so good.

AMP Capital, who unsuccesfully took the NSW Government to court claiming loss of value to their North Ryde shopping mall as a result of a railway station being built next to it, owns the major Garden City shopping mall in Perth. Here's the centre guide, including all the carparks:

There's a mysterious blank space without a carpark in it in the bottom right corner of the map. I wonder what that could be?

Oh, only a major bus interchange bringing 11 routes to the shopping centre. Nothing to see here.

It's a pity the 59 tram terminus can't come across to the Louis St bus stop. I think Westfield would be very happy but not 100% sure they'd contribute to the cost! Always worth a try though.

Common place. Shopping centres traditionally hate public transport, you cannot buy and take home much stuff. Mind you these days with the very extensive car parks, if you have to park in the back corner the same applies but that doesn't enter into the mindset of the centre owners; you might walk back and forwards a few times.
