Went out to the Bendigo Gasworks this morning to see if the new W8 983 was being loaded for transport to Melbourne. The tram had already gone! As a consolation prize (of sorts), I managed to get a happy snap of SW6 963 awaiting restoration (maybe?) at the front of the shed. Think this may have been acquired from Bylands recently? There were about 4 ex Sydney R or R1 tram bodies sitting on the ground near the front gate. Also, all those ex Melbourne W class restaurant trams have vanished.
