Although traffic lights are the major problem in Australia, there also needs to be a thorough review of any pinch points over entire routes.

Even Perth is not exempt from the general traffic management blight, surprising as there is so much attention to detail in other respects. The CBD area is particularly shocking and it has an impact on some of the CAT services which, although they have on board next stop displays and countdown timers at stops, the latter can end up resetting themselves as you watch the bus held up in the distance at some mad light cycle. In Wollongong, the circulator buses aren't held up while moving but are slow at stops because of the single door loading. In Perth they're quick at the stops with all door loading but held up in traffic.

Very hard to get the stars to align in Australia.
