Bendigo Talking Trams 35th Anniversary photos
  John Wayman

Hi all,

Yesterday was the celebration of 35 years of talking trams in Bendigo. A talking tram is one where the passenger is provided with a taped commentary of the points of interest along the route through speakers installed at various points in the tram.

An intensive tram services was provided on the day, and a large variety of trams could be photographed throughout the day.

A number of TDUers were observed riding and photographing trams throughout the day.

Here is a photo of Bendigo's latest addition to the talking tram fleet. It already has speakers installed and has been used on the talking tram service already. It is ex-Adelaide H class tram number 369 with its pantograph up, ready for service.

The words "Bendigo Tramways" have been added to the Adelaide livery.

Bendigo 369 is viewed in the depot along with Bendigo 18 and Bendigo 25.
