A ride on the waves

A friend recently asked me if I only had old Geelong pics - "What about
Melbourne?" he said.

So here's today's scan of a pic made when I think I had just acquired my
first telephoto lens.

The two PC-M equipped W5s (750 and 751) had been sent to Essendon Depot
to run the Footscray service - a common fate of 'odd trams'.

750 is seen outside the munitions factory complex in Gordon St
negotiating the waves.

Mal Rowe - tempted to suggest that this tram may have had nearly as bad
a ride as a modern bus
