Hi Alex,

The first photo below is the first track laid for GCLR1. In the immediate foreground the track has already been set in concrete. further along you can see the steel sleepers, height adjustable from below. A lot more steel would be added there before concert was added. The yellow steel sleepers got buried in the concrete. Sydney seems similar except that their adjustment seems to be done from above.

The second photo at the west side of the terminus tunnel shows the concrete slot which would keep the track in gauge. Where necessary it is built as a curve. But just how these slots are formed, I don’t know as I have not seen them do it, and I don’t expect any more is to be done.
