Hi Mick,

I drove 613 in Swanson St for at least half a shift around 1990 when South Melbourne ran vintage trams on the 16 to St Kilda Beach for a few summers.

I also got to drive it in Batman Ave for tennis specials after my W failed first half.

When the depot ran out of Ws sometimes, vintage trams were available for regular service usually for trips that were car out and car in by the one driver. But some of our drivers refused to drive them so spend 4 hours in the depot doing nothing. Bludgers!

Truly good old days.

Richard
