The truth is I believe that our friend is a snob who does not wish to associate with the lower classes.

Pardon! Your quote is not of my making - perhaps you need to watch who and what you quote. And I am quite real and a regular user of PT to and from Melbourne. Just can't stand battling the idiots on the road something that becomes more detested the older one grows.

And where did that quote come from; I never mentioned reading whilst crawling along in a traffic jam. I do my reading whilst travelling on Public Transport with all YOUR smelling people but strangely they don't catch MY train or tram.

Ah now I see you were quoting Tony P but having a shot at me. Oh well I have broad shoulders and selective deafness.

Yes its a pity that most Australian administrations place so much emphasis on the road including their pet solution - buses which are just part of the road gridlock.

PT is not always slower either, even door-to-door and especially in peak periods and increasingly crowded Saturdays. And you're not allowed to read when you're sitting in that comfy, cosy car crawling along in a traffic gridlock.
