Is grooved rail used for street track in Melbourne? If so, when did it start to be used in place of plain rail? What was the reason for the change? In Adelaide the first use of grooved rail seems to be the rearrangement of the Glenelg terminius in about 2002 from dual track to the present single track with layover zone.
