With Geoff Brown from Melbourne in town, it was a good chance to catch up with more recent works on the extension.

This video from a speeding train is the only way to see all of this stretch of track, and was taken from the 11.07am southbound
train today.

And to the gent (sorry I forget the name) who enquired about getting from the train to the present tram terminus, I have no doubt
that the 709 from Helensvale is by far the fastest way and follows the route originally planned for this tram connection to the
rail.

I checked and the 709 departs from the first bus stand to the right in front of the station building as you exit. It would not be 50
feet from the station ticket barriers to the bus door, and will leave about 5 minutes after the train arrives. Have fun!
