We're two days into the Jetty Road Glenelg upgrade.

The attached shot (looking east) is taken from the Jetty Road-Moseley Street intersection. Rails are going in on the "up".

Before works commenced, there was plenty of media coverage of the local retailer's worries about loss of trade.
Unfortunately these concerns have proven to be well founded.
Yesterday afternoon when I went for a look, the lack of pedestrians, cafe patrons and the ease of parking told the story.
One well-known coffee franchisee told us of a 65% downturn on the first day.

Unfortunately there is no easy way to conduct such works without disturbing normal operations.
